Mix everything together and add fish fillets.

While the fish is marinating, it’s time to prepare the crispy coating. In a separate plate, combine ¼ cup of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch,¼ teaspoon of ginger -garlic powder ( optional), ¼ teaspoon onion powder ( Optional), 1 teaspoon cumin powder, ½ teaspoon crushed coriander seeds, ½ teaspoon crushed red chili, ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder, ½ teaspoon fish masala ( Optional) a pinch of salt if needed.

Add marinated fish ( 1st marinade)
Coat each marinated fish fillet into the paste, ensuring it’s thoroughly coated on all sides.
Now, heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. To check if the oil is ready for frying, dip the edge of a fillet into the oil – if it sizzles, the oil is hot enough. Carefully place the coated fillets into the hot oil, ensuring they don’t overcrowd the pan ( Fry one by one) . This allows the fish to fry evenly and become crispy.
Fry the fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they turn golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to gently remove the fish from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels. This helps absorb excess oil and keeps the fish fry crispy.
