Mutton curry is a delicious dish with tender pieces of mutton cooked in a rich, aromatic sauce.
It is a popular dish in Many Indian cuisines and is often served with rice or roti.
Enjoyed by many, this dish combines the heartiness of mutton with the warmth of spices, creating a delightful and satisfying meal.
In a pressure cooker heat oil and add green cardamom, black pepper, cloves, cinnamon stick and bay leaf. Sauté for a few seconds.
Now Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add the mutton pieces and fry them for 3-4 minutes until they are lightly browned.
Add Ginger garlic paste and saute for a few seconds until the raw smell disappears.
Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and water. Mix everything and cook on high flame for 3-4 minutes or until the oil starts to separate.
Pour in the curd and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
Pour 1 & 1/2 cups of water. Close the pressure and let the mutton cook for about 5-6 whistles or until the mutton is tender.
Turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally.
Open the lid and sprinkle garam masala, chopped coriander leaves and green chilli. Stir well.
Your flavourful pressure cooker mutton curry is ready to be served. Enjoy it with rice or bread.
If the gravy is too runny, you can simmer the curry for a few more minutes until it reaches your desired consistency. You can adjust the spices and thickness of the curry according to your taste.
