Chatpata Aloo is a Delicious Indian dish made with boiled potatoes and spices like cumin, coriander and chaat masala. Chatpate aloo has a spicy and tangy flavor that's just so good. People usually have it as a side dish or a snack.
250g Potato (boiled and peeled)
Salt
For Dry roast:
1 tbsp Coriander seeds
1 tbsp Cumin seeds
¼ tsp Black peppercorns
3-4 Whole red chilli
For tempering:
½ tsp Cumin seeds
Curry leaves
2 Whole red chilli
Other ingredients:
1 tsp Red chili powder
¼ tsp Chaat masala
¼ tsp Amchur powder
Chopped coriander leaves
Heat a pan on medium flame, and Dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, whole red chilli and black peppercorns for 2-3 minutes or until nice fragrant.
Switch off the flame and allow it to cool down completely. Grind the spices into a coarse powder, rather than fine powder.
Keep this for later use.
Heat oil in a pan over medium flame. Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Now add curry leaves and dried red chili and saute for a few seconds.
Add the boiled and peeled potatoes and fry them until they are light golden color ( 3- 4 minutes).
Keep the flame low add red chilli powder, chaat masala and amchur powder, give a mix for a minute and then add spice powder which was prepared earlier.
Mix well and add some water( 2-3 tbsp) So the spices don't burn.
Cover the pan and cook on low heat for about 2 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
